NJ Needs More Energy Choice, Not Less

Explore SmartHeatNJ.com to better understand what’s at stake for New Jersey families — and why the path to a cleaner energy future should be built on innovation, flexibility and choice. We can reach our climate goals without forcing a single solution on every household.

Electric heat pumps can play an important role, but they are not the only answer. Neither is an all-electric approach. The reality is that New Jersey’s diverse homes, climates and budgets demand a broad mix of energy solutions. By embracing an “all of the above” strategy that includes electricity, natural gas, heating oil, propane and emerging technologies, we can reduce emissions, protect affordability and keep residents in control of how they heat and power their homes.
